AustraliaAustralia is ranked second in the International Rugby Board World Cup rankings, and they are in Pool C, playing four other nations in their pool in the group stage of the 2011 Rugby World Cup. They first take on Italy in Auckland on September 11th at 15:30, and then play again in Auckland, this time against Ireland on September 17th at 20:30. Their third match will be against the United States, and it happens in Wellington on September 23rd, the match starting at 20:30, and finally playing Russia in Nelson at 15:30 on the first of October.

The Australia team is being coached by Robbie Deans and includes Ben Alexander, Nathan Sharpe, James Slipper and Ben Alexander. Dan Vickerman is a lock as well as Rob Simmons and flankers include Rocky Elsom, David Pocock, Radike Samo and Scott Higginbotham. Number Eights are Ben McCalman and Wycliff Palu.
