Having overcome the physical challenge presented by Samoa last weekend at the Stadio Cino e Lillo Del Duca, Ascoli Piceno, Italy who won that Test by 24-13, now face the immense physical challenge that the Argentina Pumas forward pack always presents this coming Saturday. The Stadio Luigi Ferraris, Genoa is the venue for the second Test of the Autumn International series, as the Azzurri seek to make it two wins on the bounce, having ended a nine game losing streak last Saturday.

The Pumas needed two very late tries last weekend at Murrayfield to give the scoreline against Scotland a little respectability. They had trailed 17-4,1 before their late rally reduced the final gap to 31-41. The tourists will hope to produce a performance more in keeping with their efforts during the Rugby Championship through the summer. They pushed the All Blacks, Springboks and Wallabies close in four of their first five matches, before recording a memorable win against the Wallabies in their last fixture of the tournament.

The Pumas haven't lost a Test to the Italians since June 2008, when they were beaten 12-13 at the Estadio Olímpico, Córdoba, and they have to go all the way back to November 1998 for their last defeat on Italy soil, a 19-23 reverse at the Stadio Comunale Beltrametti, Piacenza.

Argentina make five changes to their starting XV for the final match of their autumn tour to Europe, as they bid to end a very disappointing year on a slight high at least, by defeating Italy in Rome on Saturday. Their performance in the Rugby Championship saw them play some good rugby at times, while their were other matches when they appeared well out of their depth against the southern hemisphere giants; Australia, New Zealand and South Africa. Followed up by two comprehensive home defeats to an England team that was without its British and Irish Lions.

The autumn internationals have seen Argentina beaten again by England, and emphatically dispatched by Wales last weekend. While Italy having started like an express train against the Wallabies, went on to concede 50 points, though they did manage to sneak a win against Fiji at home last weekend, despite being outscored by 5 tries to 4. Argentinean Head Coach, Daniel Hourcade, has juggled his backline, moving Horacio Agulla from the wing to outside centre, replacing Marcelo Bosch, with Ascarate Gabriel coming in for Santiago Fernandez at inside centre.

The team will start with two new wings, with Juan Imhoff starting the match, with Santiago Cordero dropping to the replacements bench, and on the other wing, Lucas Gonzalez Amorosino returns. In the forwards, Mariano Galarza replaces Patricio Albacete in the engine room, with Benjamin Macome preferred to Paul Matera, who also finds himself keeping the bench warm.
