London Irish                          Saracens
Saturday 12th March 20:00 GMT

London Irish and Saracens will break new ground on Saturday, when they play their Aviva Premiership fixture at The Red Bull Arena in Harrison, New Jersey, USA. The Stadium will become the 35th different venue to have played host to a Premiership fixture. It will also be the first to take place outside of England. London Irish are rock bottom of the table, having lost four successive Premiership games, since they defeated the Worcester Warriors at their own Madejski Stadium in Reading by 20-13. Saracens are not only the reigning Premiership Champions, after their victory against Bath at Twickenham last May, but they also lead the table at the end of 15 rounds of competition.

Sarries have found it difficult to cope with the lost of many of their squad to the 6-Nations tournament, which still has two rounds to run. After starting the Premiership with eight successive wins, they have managed just one victory in the last four attempts. Saracens were beaten in their own stadium last weekend by Northampton Saints, and failed to score a try for just the second time this season. On both occasions they were facing the Saints. Surprisingly, the Exiles have scored at least one try in every game that they have played over the past 12 months. Irish who are eight points from Premiership safety, have managed just two wins against Saracens in the last ten meetings of the two clubs. Winning in Reading in 2013, and then at Allianz Park in 2014.

London Irish who will host Saracens at the Madejski Stadium in Reading on Saturday opened their Aviva Premiership season for the current season last weekend at Kingston Park in Newcastle. Squeezing home by just 20-18, thanks in no small measure to six missed kicks at goal by the home team. However, the Exiles have not won back-to-back games in the tournament since February, but successive victories at the Madejski Stadium will certainly raise their confidence going into Saturday's contest. Last season's runner-up, Saracens, top the Premiership table after the first two rounds, after successive wins against Wasps and Harlequins. While they were somewhat fortunate to beat Wasps at Twickenham as part of the London Irish double header, last Friday night they inflicted a thumping 39-0 beating on Harlequins at the Stoop. Since the Exiles took Series regular season unbeaten record at Allianz Park in February, Saracens have only tasted defeat in one regular season fixture. A loss at Welford Road against the Leicester Tigers in Round 22 of last season's Premiership.

Surprisingly for a side that has struggled near the foot of the table in recent seasons, the Exiles have a good record against Saracens and have beaten them in two of their last three meetings.
