Argentina and France go head to head in the second of the scheduled Test matches at the Estadio Monumental Jose Fierro in Tucuman on Saturday 25th June. Los Pumas victory last Sunday in the first fixture by 30-19, was the first time that they have registered successive wins against Les Bleus since 2007, when they defeated France twice at the World Cup held in the European country. France were hampered last week by their inability to select any players involved in the domestic Top 14 semi-finals. They can add players from Clermont and Montpellier for Saturday's clash if they so wish, as those clubs were beaten in their last four clashes. They will once again be without any players from Toulon and Racing 92.

Los Pumas had led by 17-3 half an hour into the first Test, before losing their composure and allowing the French to claw their way back into the contest, and even take the lead 19-17. However, the French then showed their ill-discipline, with prop Jefferson Poirot sin-binned for a deliberate knock on. Nicolas Sanchez kicked a penalty to put the hosts back ahead, from where they regained their momentum, cut out the carelessness that had crept into their game, and they once more pulled away to secure the victory.

Saturday, June 23rd the France Tour continues. Argentina and France will be matched up in Tucuman at 18:10 local time and 21:10 GMT. This match will be following a France loss last weekend, the first test of the tour, which they played in Cordoba. It means that France still has not been able to win a game against the Pumas, a state that they have been in for thirteen years. Now, France has to contend with an Argentine team that knows it can win, as well as the addition of Stade Francais star player Felipe Contepomi who will be the Argentine captain.
