Manawatu will be looking for a victory on Saturday at the FMG Stadium in Palmerston North, in their battle to avoid relegation from the ITM Cup Premiership, when the North Harbour Hibiscus are the visitors.
The Turbos only win this season came in week 5, when they overcame bottom of the Championship, and winless, Northland, and they find themselves four points adrift of safety. Their nearest rivals at the foot of the table, Counties-Manukau registered a second win of the 2015 campaign last weekend, when they too defeated the hapless Northland. The Turbos issue during the 2015 season has been keeping their own line in tact. They have now conceded 34 tries in their seven fixtures, nine more than the next worst defence in the Premiership, that of Waikato. North Harbour have only managed two wins themselves, but will still hold out hope of sneaking into the post-season play-offs. They are just three points behind fourth place Southland, and a further point adrift of Bay of Plenty. Harbour's only victory on the road this season came in week 3, when they squeezed home by 26-26 in Invercargill against Southland.
With the pressure on the Turbos, who finish the season with games against reigning Champions Taranaki, and promotion chasing Wellington, to get a win on Saturday, Harbour may not get that second win on the road this week.
