Waikato visits the QBE Stadium on Saturday to play North Harbour in a cross division ITM Cup fixture, looking for a victory to keep them in touch with the early season Premiership leaders. While the hosts are still searching for their first victory of the 2014 tournament.

To be fair to North Harbour, they may still be winless, but there were signs during last weekend's defeat to Southland 25-21, that they could be about to turn the corner. However, they will be without Nafi Tuitavake against Waikato due to an ankle injury, and he was certainly a constant threat during last week's game. Niko Ratumaitavuki comes in at second-five replacement.

The home side will hope to show more discipline around the ruck area and cut out the unforced errors, allowing them to put a young Waikato side under some pressure.

The visitors suffered a second heavy beating on Wednesday night, when they lost 46-17 to Taranaki, and Waikato's chances of a second win of the season may well depend on their ability to recover physically in such a short turn round, and the forwards ability to become more competitive. They were simply overwhelmed by both Canterbury and Taranaki in the battle up front.

On Sunday, August 26th, North Harbour and Waikato will play at North Shore City at 14:35 local time and 02:35 GMT in the ITM Cup. Right now, North Harbour comes in third in the Championship division, while Waikato takes the sixth spot in the Premiership division. However, you must keep in mind that most of these teams haven't even played on game yet, so the place that they are currently residing in on the standings will not be where they end up, even after the first set of matches has been played this weekend.
