Spain and Namibia have lost both their opening two fixtures of the 2015 World Rugby Nations Cup, and will meet each other in Bucharest on Sunday, to play for third and fourth place. Spain opened their tournament with a disappointing loss to the hosts Romania, who used their forwards to dominate possession, and to nullify the Spaniards main strength, which lies with their pack. The final scoreline was 35-9 in the host nations favour.

Against the Argentina Jaguars in their second match on Wednesday, the Spanish XV was far more competitive. They brought an extra physicality to their game, and their forwards were able to take a hold of the game, that never happened against Romania. Despite dominating the first 40 minutes however, they turned around 0-3 behind, and with the Jaguars scoring two quick tries at the start of the second period, the 0-15 gap was too much to make up. Two late penalties closing the final scoreline to 6-15.

Having lost their first game to the Jaguars 10-30, the Namibia, for whom the tournament is an important part of their World Cup preparations, went down 9-35 to the host team on Wednesday. The Romanians once more using their forward power to good effect. The pack scoring four of their side's seven tries.
