The Blues still have Super Rugby playoff aspirations but Coach John Kirwan has named a reasonably strong squad for this clash. Hooker James Parsons will captain the side, with the backline containing exciting talents like Frank Halai, George Moala and Jackson Willison.

Kirwan has opted for the club’s second choice half back pairing in the form of Jamie Gibson-Park and Baden Kerr, with the experienced Chris Noakes providing cover from the bench. Both Ali Williams and Luke Braid have been rested for this clash.

The French had their chances against the All Blacks at Eden Park last weekend and had in form No.8 Louis Picamoles not dropped the ball with the try line beckoning in the second half, the end result might have been different. If Picamoles had scored, France would have leveled the scores at 20 all, but Les Bleus eventually went down 13-23 to the All Blacks.

Will the Blues upset Les Bleus in this midweek clash? See Blues v France live streaming online and find out.
