Two sides with 100% starts to the RaboDirect PRO12 season, go head to head at the Stadio Monigo on Saturday, when Benetton Treviso host the Ospreys from West Wales. Unfortunately for these two sides, their 100% records are not of the sort to be proud of, they have lost all three of their opening fixtures in the new PRO12 season.
Treviso have managed to secure two losing bonus points from their three defeats. Going down narrowly in Munster and at home to Edinburgh, before they were thumped in Belfast by Ulster in their last outing. The Italian side have not won a PRO12 fixture since last February, when they won against another Welsh Region, the Cardiff Blues, at Saturday'svenue, by 40-24. They match was also the last time that Treviso registered a try-scoring bonus point.
Ospreys season has been even more woeful than Treviso's. The Welsh Region has become the first side in PRO12 history to start a season with three try-less performances. All 33 points that they have recorded to date have come from the boot of fly-half, Sam Davies. In total, the Swansea Ospreys have now played 267 minutes of PRO12 rugby since they crossed their opponents line. That momentous moment came in last season's play-off against Munster, and was scored by Geoff Hassler.

The Ospreys will be looking to cement their top four spot in the Guinness PRO12 table when they travel to Italy to take on Benetton Treviso on Friday at the Stadio Comunale di Monigo. Treviso have won only one of their last six PRO12 fixtures, a 40-24 victory over the Cardiff Blues in Round 15, and are battling to stay ahead of their fellow countrymen from Zebre, in order to clinch a place in next season's Champions Cup. They currently have a four point advantage with four rounds of fixtures remaining.
While the Swansea Ospreys travel to Italy on the back of three unbeaten games in the RaboDirect PRO12, including a win and draw against other top four contenders Munster and Leinster respectively, although each of those matches was played in their own Liberty Stadium in Swansea. Their away form is not proving quite so impressive, with no away win to their name since they beat Zebre in Parma back on 3rd October.
The two sides have already met three times this season, having been drawn in the same Champions Cup qualifying Pool. All three games have been won by the home side, with Treviso squeezing home 23-20 in January when they last played at the Stadio Monigo.

Treviso completed a clean sweep at home over Welsh sides last season and have emerged victors in their last five at home against Welsh opposition. Their game will again focus on forward dominance, a facet of the game Ospreys will have to definitely work on after their pack came out second best in their 27-10 pre-season loss to Bath.
Treviso finished an impressive 7th last season, just four behind Munster and ahead of the likes of Cardiff, Connacht and Edinburgh. They also conceded fewer tries than last season’s eventual champions Leinster. Ospreys are set to rest the Lions trio of Adam Jones, Justin Tipuric and Alun Wyn Jones, while fellow tourists Richard Hibbard and Ian Evans are set to make appearances off the bench. Dmitri Arhip is a long term absentee, with the Moldovan out for the rest of the year after rupturing his Achilles tendon in the loss to Bath.
