Benetthost on Treviso Ulster in the Guinness PRO12 on Saturday at the Stadio Monigo, looking to end an abysmal run of results, that has seen them lose every game that they have played since beating the Cardiff Blues last February. In this season's PRO12, they have played and lost 12 games, although they have picked up seven losing bonus points during that time. Unsurprisingly they are situated at the foot of the table.
Ulster are in sixth position in the table, but have a game in hand on a number of the sides above them. A win in Italy against Benetton Treviso, who haven't recorded a victory over any side from the Emerald Isle since October 2013, when they beat Connacht, will help the Northern Irish Province towards the play-off positions.
Ulster's last three away matches in the RaboDirect PRO12 have seen them win twice, against the Dragons and Connacht, and pick up a losing bonus point when losing in Dublin against Leinster. The two sides have met 17 times previously in all competitions, with the Italians enjoying just one win in all that time. A 23-12 success in Belfast back in October 2011, since when the Ulstermen have lost just once to an Italian side. A controversial defeat in parma against Zebre in September 2014.

Benetton Treviso lifted themselves off of the foot of the Guinness PRO12 table over the holiday period by completing a winning double over their fellow countrymen, and strugglers Zebre. The two victories were their first of the season in any tournament, and they will hope that they can build on those successes this Sunday, when Ulster are the visitors to the Stadio Monigo in Round 13 of the PRO12.
If the Italian side manage to defeat the Irish Province, they will record a third consecutive win in the competition for the first time since December 2012. Benetton Treviso most recent fixture against an Irish team, resulted in a 24-24 draw with the reigning champions Leinster, but the last time that they recorded a win against a team from the Emerald Isle, was back in October 2013, when they overcame Connacht at the Stadio Monigo.
Ulster have slipped out of the top four play-off positions, after a poor run of form, that has seen them win just one of their last four RaboDirect PRO12 fixtures, against Connacht in Belfast on Boxing Day. Since beating the Cardiff Blues at the Arms Park on 19th September, Ulster have lost six away matches on the trot in all tournaments, including losing in Parma against Zebre by 6-13 in Round 4.

The postponement of their game against Edinburgh last weekend saw Ulster slip out of the play-off positions, as they dropped to fifth, with the Ospreys from Wales, and Glasgow Warriors slipping past them, thanks to their games going ahead, and both registering victories. Ulster will hope that their trip to Italy, to take on Benetton Treviso, who are on a run of five straight defeats in all competitions, since they defeated their Italian compatriots Zebre in the RaboDirect PRO12 competition over Christmas, will enable them to get their challenge back on course.
Although currently sitting in a lowly tenth position, Treviso are generally a handful for any team at home, and although beaten in their most recent appearance at the Stadio Monigo in the RaboDirect PRO12, by the Scarlets of Wales, they will be seeking to avoid successive home losses for the first time since November 2012, when Ulster roll into town on Sunday. Ulster themselves are on a marvelous run, that has seen them defeated just once in their last ten fixtures in all tournaments, going back to early November, which was a 6-19 loss to Leinster at the RDS in the PRO12 just after Christmas.
The Irish Province has only once before, ever lost to Italian opponents, and that was Treviso, who triumphed at Ravenhill in October 2011. On the other 12 occasions that the two sides have met in all competitions, Ulster have won 11, with one match drawn, and the Irishmen have won all six previous meetings at the Stadio Monigo.

On Friday, the 23rd of November, the RaboDirect Pro12 will see Benetton Treviso and Ulster play in Treviso at 19:05 local time and one hour earlier GMT. Right now, we find Benetton Treviso sitting in ninth place on the standings with thirteen points. They are just one team with thirteen points right now, as the Edinburgh team is tied with them. Edinburgh was able to grab five from bonuses while Benetton just had one so even though Benetton has three wins and five losses and Edinburgh just two, they are tied for points.
As for Ulster, they are leading the entire RaboDirect Pro12 competition right now with three bonus points and the rest from their wins. They have not lost a single game this entire season, and have 35 points.
