The Newport Gwent Dragons haven't been beaten at their Rodney Parade home ground since Connacht from the West of Ireland were the visitors back in February. A run of five successive wins in the Guinness PRO12 tournament.
All 12 games that the Dragons and their visitors on Sunday, Ulster, have played in the 2015/16 season, have ended in wins for the home teams on the day. With the Ulstermen having played three times in Belfast, as opposed to the Dragons two matches in Newport, the Irish Province holds the advantage in the table. Ulster occupy fifth position and are three places above their hosts after six rounds.
The last time that Ulster won at Rodney Parade was in October 2012, which is just one of two wins they have enjoyed at the venue since 2006. They have not been successful away from Belfast on any ground since April, when they defeated Connacht in Galway. With the World Cup now completed, the RaboDirect PRO12 sides will see the return of their international players, and the competition may see a change in the form lines that have run through it, when the competing sides were forced to field back up XV's.

Newport Gwent Dragons host Ulster at Rodney Parade on Sunday, in the next round of the RaboDirect PRO12 tournament. Newport have had a disappointing season in the PRO12, compared to their efforts in the European Challenge Cup, and have managed just one win in their last five PRO12 fixtures. A stunning win at the RDS against Leinster by 16-14 in Round 14, which brought to an end the Irish Province’s long unbeaten run at the venue.
Ulster are on a run that has seen them win four successive matches in the tournament, their last defeat coming at Leinster on 3rd January. If Ulster win on Sunday, it will be a third away win on the trot, the first time that they will have achieved the feat since December 2012.
Wales has not been a happy hunting ground for Ulster in recent times, with just a solitary win in the principality in their last six visits across the Irish Sea. A win over the Cardiff Blues in the PRO12 in September 2014. However, on Sunday they come up against a side that has managed to win just two of their home matches in the PRO12 this season, and they will be hoping that they can get the win that will consolidate their top four place as they go into the final weeks of the regular season.
