Australia and Wales meet at Twickenham Stadium on Saturday, in a match that will decide the winners of Pool A, the so called Pool of Death at the 2015 Rugby World Cup. Both teams have won all three of their Pool matches to date, including defeating the host country, England, at the venue of Saturday's fixture.

The losers will face South Africa in the quarter-final, and should they come through that challenge, will then likely have to play the reigning Champions, New Zealand, in the semi-finals. There is much at stake, as can be gauged by the tortuous route to a potential final, to be faced by the losers. While Wales had to stage a remarkable recovery from 10 points down against England, Australia completely outclassed and dismantled an England team, in every facet of the game, winning by 33-13.

On Friday, October 21st, the Rugby World Cup will play for the third place playoffs in Auckland and the two teams that are contesting it are Australia and Wales. It happens at 20:30 local time and this will be the fifth time that these two teams have gone head to head in the RWC. They were at this exact same place in the past when they contested the bronze final in 1987, the tournament that year also contested in New Zealand. Out of the thirty times overall that these two have met, Australia has taken nineteen games, Wales won ten and the two have drawn one time.
