The defending Six Nations U20's Champions Wales Under 20s, meet the reigning U20 World Champions England, at the Parc Eirias in Colwyn Bay on Friday Evening. Both sides won their opening fixture, so the Grand Slam hopes of at least one country will disappear in North Wales in Round 2, even if the losers Championship hopes will still be alive. Wales hard fought 27-5 victory in Italy last weekend, was the Welsh side's eighth straight victory in the tournament. The biggest downside of the performance and the result, was the lack of a try-scoring bonus point, the Welsh youngsters managing to cross the Italian line just three times.

In contrast, England Under 20s were the most impressive side in Round 1, thrashing France at Sandy Park in Exeter by 59-17. However, the Saracens fly-half, Max Mullins, who pulled the strings for the English, finishing with 24 points, thanks to two tries and seven conversions, and was named as the man of the match, will be missing from the line up against the Welsh, as he has been named by his club to play against the Worcester Warriors in the Aviva Premiership this weekend. Wales have selected a new second row pairing, with former U18 captain Callum Bradbury partnered with Pontypridd's Sean Moore, with both set to make their U20 international debuts. Other than that, Wales have named an unchanged squad from that which overcame the Italians. England's nine tries ensured them of a try scoring bonus point, the only country to do so, and as the result they head the tournament table at the end of Round 1, a point clear of Wales and Ireland.

Wales U20's will be looking for revenge when they take on their English counterparts at the Parc Eirias in Colwyn Bay on Saturdayevening, having suffered a humiliating defeat at Kingston Park, Newcastle, in last season's U20's Six Nations championship, when the White Rose ran out 67-7 winners.

Since then, last year's 6-Nations runners-up, England Under 20s, have won the Junior World Cup in New Zealand during the summer. However, such is the nature of age group rugby, with the constant change of personnel, that England Head Coach, the ex-Bath and England full-back, Jon Callard, has been able to name only five players from that successful team.Bath's Charlie Ewels is named as skipper, and Callard is hoping that his exposure to first team rugby at club level this season, will stand his captain in good stead for the challenge ahead. Wales Under 20s who finished in third position last season, with three wins and two defeats, have nine players returning from the squad that competed in last season's tournament. A disappointing 6-Nations campaign, was followed by an equally disappointing showing in New Zealand during the Summer, when the Welsh youngsters managed just seventh place in the JWC, after finishing second and third at the two previous competitions.

On Friday, the 15th of March, the Under 20 Six Nations competition will see the Wales and England Under 20s teams play in Parc Eirias at 19:30 local time and GMT. Wales Under 20s is the team that is currently leading the Under 20's Six Nations competition. They have played four games so far this season, and with some skill and a little bit of luck, they were able to come through with four wins. That gives Wales the number one spot and a total of eight points from the four wins that they have taken. England is the number two team, with six points after winning three.
