Cheetahs                          Brumbies
Saturday 26th March 13:05 GMT

After suffering a first defeat of the 2016 Super Rugby season last weekend, the Brumbies will be looking to get back to winning ways on Saturday when they face the Cheetahs at the Free State Stadium in Bloemfontein. The Brumbies took a 100% winning record to South Africa, having scored 15 tries in securing three wins and looking very impressive in wins against the Hurricanes and the Waratahs in Canberra and the Force in Perth, but were heavily beaten by the Stormers 11-31 at Newlands. A result that saw them drop to fourth in the table.

The Cheetahs have scored plenty of tries of their own this season, but have leaked too many to the opposition. The result is that they have managed just one win from four fixtures to date. Two home defeats to Los Jaguares and the Stormers, were followed by their solitary success, which came in Singapore against the Sunwolves. Last weekend away to the Lions they fell to a 22-39 loss, leaving them in 12th position in the overall table. The two sides have clashed four times in Super Rugby in Bloem, with the Cheetahs winning three of those games. The Brumbies only success came back in 2009.

After defeating the table topping Sharks last weekend the Brumbies will be looking to not just consolidate their third place position in the Super Rugby table, but improve on it, with the Chiefs having a bye this weekend. With a match against the Cheetahs, even though it is in South Africa at Free State Stadium Bloemfontein, the Brumbies will be confident of securing the points. The Cheetahs, who made the play-offs last year, where they were defeated by Saturday's opponents in Canberra, are a very different outfit this season. They have played 12 games already this season, and have won on just two occasions, and drawn another game, to set alongside nine defeats, leaving them in 14th position out of the 15 competing teams.

At least playing at home gives the South African side some cause for hope, as they have gained their two wins and the draw from the six matches they have contested at their Bloemfontein home. The Brumbies record on the road is quite impressive, with three wins from five games, and is one of the reasons why they are riding high in the table. With the season approaching its climax, the Brumbies are delighted to have winger Henry Speight back in the lineup, making his first appearance since round nine. The only other change from the side that beat the Sharks sees Jean Pierre Smith back among the replacements in place of Ruaidhri Murphy.
