The Chiefs, Super Rugby Champions in 2012 and 2013, host the Bulls in Rotura on Friday, in the first match of Round 15 in this seasons tournament. Round 14 saw the Chiefs beaten 18-22 by the table topping Hurricanes, which has left them trailing the Canes by a massive 13 points with four qualifying fixtures remaining. With the match being played at Roturua, rather than the Chiefs usual home of Hamilton, they will hope that they can continue the home form that has seen them beaten on home soil only once in 2015, in Round 4 by the Hurricanes.

The Bulls who head the South African Conference, hence their elevated position of third in the table, began their Austalasian tour last weekend with a disappointing and surprising loss in Auckland against the Blues, who won by 23-18. The losing bonus point puts them ahead of the Stormers by that solitary point, with the Lions a firther three points adrift. The Bulls have only registered one win on Chiefs soil, by 33-19 in 2010, they also managed a 26-26 draw in 2006. All the other six games have all gone the way of the Kiwis.
