The Sharks moved into the top six of the Super Rugby table last weekend, when they won a bad tempered affair against the Chiefs by 12-11 in Durban. On Saturday, they will hope to strengthen their position when the Western Force are the visitors to their Durban home. The Perth based Force, arrive in the Sharks home on the back of five successive defeats, after springing a huge surprise in Round 1, when they beat the defending Champions the Waratahs in Sydney. They were somewhat unfortunate to lose last time out, when they outscored the Bulls by 3 tries to 1 at Loftus Versfeld, by lost the match 24-25.

The Sharks are in second place in the South African Conference, a single point behind the Stormers, although they have played a game more. Recent form against Australian visitors in Durban has been extremely productive, with nine wins from the last ten games, including victories against the Waratahs and the Reds last season.

The teams haven't met in Durban since 2012, when the Sharks scored seven tries on their way to a 53-11 win. One of seven wins that they have recorded from the seven meetings of the sides. The Force's only win coming in Perth back in 2007.
