Bordeaux Begles will play host to Grenoble at the Stade Chaban Delmas in Bordeaux on Saturday, looking to end a run of seven Top 14 Orange fixtures without a victory. Last weekend's 9-32 reverse in Paris against Stade Francais, was a sixth defeat since they last enjoyed a victory in the tournament, a 26-0 win against La Rochelle on November 19th. The only game in which they have avoided defeat came at the end of January at home against Clermont Auvergne, when they shared the spoils in a 23-23 draw.
That dreadful run of results has resulted in Bordeaux slipping down to tenth in the table, with 39 points to their credit. A total that leaves them seven points outside the play-off places, with just seven rounds of the regular season now remaining. Grenoble recorded a second win in the last three Top 14 games that they have played, when they beat the reigning Champions last weekend, Racing 92 by 19-10 at the Stade des Alpes. However, they still find themselves 10 points from safety, due to Lyon's win against Montpellier. When the two clubs played each other in Grenoble on the 12th November, Bordeaux Begles scrapped a narrow victory by 24-22.

Bordeaux Begles will be looking to consolidate their position in the Top 14 Orange play-off positions, when they face Grenoble in Round 11 on Sunday at the Stade Chaban Delmas. The club from the Atlantic Coast played some of the most electrifying rugby in the Top 14 last season, and qualified for the Champions Cup as the result, although they didn't threaten to win the title.
However, this season, their success has been come in a much more conservative manner. Six wins and a draw from their 10 fixtures in the tournament, have produced only 16 tries, the second worst return amongst clubs in the top half of the table. Although occupying 10th position, Grenoble are reasonably comfortable, with a nine point advantage over the clubs who fill the relegation positions. They are however, nine points adrift of the play-off positions. Bordeaux come into Sunday's fixture on the back of two tough matches in the Champions Cup against the Ospreys from the Guinness Pro12 tournament. A narrow defeat in Swansea, was reversed last weekend, when the French club won by 33-27 at home. While Bordeaux Begles are bottom of their Champions Cup Pool, Grenoble top their qualifying Pool in the Challenge Cup, after recording successive victories over fellow Top 14 outfit, Agen.

Bordeaux Begles will continue their drive for a top six finish in the Top 14 tournament, and a post season play-off position, when they welcome Grenoble to the Stade Chaban Delmas on Saturday. Grenoble currently hold the advantage over their hosts, occupying fifth position in the table, putting them a place above the team from the Atlantic coast, with a two point advantage.
However, their form outside of their Alpine home ground this season, combined with the outstanding performances that Bordeaux Begles have been producing at home, would appear to indicate that the two clubs are likely to swap positions by the end of Saturday's contest. Matches at the Stade Chaban-Delmas, or more specifically victories at their own ground, are vital to Bordeaux's hopes of clinching a play-off position by the end of the regular season, given that their own away form is no better than Saturday's visitors, with just one away win in the Top 14 this season. Grenoble lost their last away fixture at La Rochelle, although they managed to secure a losing bonus point, while the previous road trip saw them record their only away win of the Top 14 Orange campaign, when they shocked Toulouse at the Stade Ernest-Wallon with a 25-22 success.
