Having seen off Ireland at Thomond Park on Thursday evening, the Barbarians conclude their short tour of the UK, with a match against an England XV at Twickenham Stadium on Sunday. With the Aviva Premiership final taking place at the same venue the day before, between Saracens and Bath, and with coach Stuart Lancaster keen to rest key players, the England team has an unfamiliar look. Although the fixture does give those players selected to wear the Red Rose a chance to showcase their abilities.

The Northampton Saints scrum half Lee Dickson has been named as the captain for the day, with his starting XV containing 10 players who have been named in England's World Cup training squad.

After overcoming long term injury problems, both Joe Launchbury of Wasps and Leicester Tigers Ed Slater, will pull on an England shirt for the first time this season. There is also a place for another Tiger, Matthew Tait, who hasn't appeared for England since 2010, but has 38 caps and a 2007 World Cup final appearance on his CV. Perhaps the most interesting selection is that of the Harlequins open side flanker, Jack Clifford, who captained his country's U20s to the 2013 6-Nations title, as well as the Junior World Cup. A genuine No.7, Clifford has been rewarded for a fine Premiership season.
